Rise & View Krew – Kids Holiday Club Summer 2020

We’re pleased to announce that Rise & View Krew activities will be going ahead this summer!

Due to social distancing, we won’t be able to have physical sessions as we did last year, so instead we’re going to be delivering specially created packs to families in the Saunders Park area to make at home.

These will be a range of activities created by one of our talented artists which will be aimed at ages 5-8/9-11 and packs will be delivered to your door on 30th July!

These Art Packs are FREE, but you will need to register for these (max 2 per household) by 24th July 2020.

Today! Free Half term Halloween events at Brighton Open Market

Happy Halloween at Brighton Open Market

31st October 2019 1-4pm

Where: Brighton Open Market and the Balcony Studios, Marshalls Row, Brighton BN2 4GU

What: A free afternoon of trick or treating, wicked creative workshops, spooky storytelling, music and awards for the best costumes.  

The Balcony Studios at Brighton Open Market present a free drop in Halloween half term family event on Thursday October 31st from 1-4pm.

We welcome children aged 11 and under, and their adults to come and take part in a variety of workshops at the Balcony studios, upstairs at Brighton Open Market, as well as spooky storytelling, and trick or treating in the market place.

Visit the Balcony studios (Arlo’s Cabin, Quiet Down There, Sew Fabulous, and Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage) for free workshops on bat making, Hijack Halloween crafts, Halloween window transfers, badge making and spooky photography.

Local arts organisation Same Sky will mount a creative installation in the market place to create an All Hallows Eve vibe, along with a jam packed afternoon of half term family fun including storytelling, trick or treating (bring a bag!) and music.

We’ll be working with traders, artists and other organisations to create an inclusive and lively event attracting existing and new customers and participants.

In addition to Halloween, this live event will also form part of the Open Market’s 100 year anniversary . We will be launching our new open market zine at this event to help share and promote our work. Come and help celebrate the centenary of this landmark site!

Our final FREE Strike a Light‘s kids holiday club for the summer holidays is on Tuesday 27th August 2-5pm.

We aim to encourage families living in and around the Saunders Park area of Brighton to come along to some or all of our free ten sessions over Spring and Summer 2019 but everyone from across the city is welcome.

Activities are at the United Reform Church, Lewes Road, entrance opposite Saunders Park Rise.

Activities are provided by Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage by enhanced DBS checked artists and facilitators, and include arts and crafts events. Sessions include a healthy snack.

Free activities at The Bevy – Free kids summer sessions today!

We are pleased to be running two FREE  kids holiday activities at The Bevy community pub in East Brighton this August!

These take place on both 6th and 27th August from 2-5pm. There are also free kids activities every Tuesday during the summer holidays from 2-4pm.

And it’s all FREE thanks to support from East Brighton Trust 

Treat yourself to one of The Bevy celebrated community lunches for just £4 while the kids have fun!

No booking necessary.
